Some of you might now about the Tony Hawk games and if you have you would know its been going on for to long we all love the games but Tony come on you need to stop. The controls are the same so its easy to get back into gameplay from the last game. You do about everything you could in the last one and seems exactly the same if they are going to continue on this series they should bring something new to the plate one nice new change is that there isn't a single, boring storyline anymore but a new series of smaller stories that you can play at any time. Everything you do works to your goals of getting your own board, putting together your own team and things like that, but the goal-based stories are playable in any order and you can do them at your own speed and not rushed. None of them are all that cool, and from the real skaters they're put with annoying characters, but at least you no longer get to a point where you must complete a single goal to go further and your weaknesses to do that would keep you from going any any where in the story.  Tony Hawk's Proving Ground has three levels of difficulty for each challenge - Am (for amateur), Pro and Sick. A competition might require 50,000 points for earning an Am ranking, 150,000 for Pro and 800,000 for Sick, for example. You clear the challenge for finishing it on Am, so your progress isn't affected by getting better scores. You can also earn the same amount of ability upgrade points for getting Am as you do for Sick, so its not different there. The only good thing is what you get for finishing a goal on Pro or Sick are bragging rights and a little more cash, which is only good for buying new clothes and stuff for your Skate Lounge. Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is a pretty good game, but it really doesn't do anything new from Project 8. I've seen all of the good parts from the game many, many times now, and it feels like I'm playing a large expansion pack. That doesn't mean it's not fun, but it does mean that it's old and I'm done with it, so Tony Hawk's Proving Ground is a buy if your a fan but me I'm done with skating games for a while.

Rating Description
out of 10
7.5 Graphics
Characters are pretty good, but can look a little freaky at times. The city is nice, but nothing will wow you in this game.
7.5 Sound
The soundtrack is good, but it seems to have stoped its hardcore skating shoes a little bit and doesn't seem as natural as it used to.
7.0 Gameplay
The controls are tight and the playing can still be fun, but I've done all of this before. Many times.
7.0

Last Thoughts Buy or Don't Buy       There are plenty of things to do, and getting all of the Sick goals will require plenty of practice. Online extends the length, but it's not much different than past offerings. So it gives you lots to do but its a don't buy for me unless you love these games it your chose.
